I actually believe that you have to take your audience into consideration along with the topic of discussion.  

You definitely have to match up to at least one of these to have success with the headline, with the audience being more important to consider.  Because if your audience doesn&#039;t respond to the headline they won&#039;t read on.

		<description>I personal like Funny headlines, but then again just depends what the story is about. You do not want to open a story about someones death with a joke. I also agree you need headlines to be short and snappy, you need to tell people what the story/article, etc is about in few words a possible.</description>
