Hi Denise & Diana,

 Thanks for the comments.

Diana

Twitter depends on what you are doing with it. If you are marketing you want to be public and have as many followers as you can get.

If you are actually trying to read everything that some people say you won't follow as many people but you can still have a lot of followers if you want it makes no difference it what you see only who can direct message you. You only see the tweets of those that you follow.

But there is no rule against having more than one Twitter account. I have one I started 8 days ago that I am trying to build as many followers as I can. Solely for the purpose of getting my message in front of as many people as possible.
That is the one for RandyTheHermit

I have 2600 followers on that account and I am following 2500. If you tweet me there the odds of me seeing it are very slim.

My other account thehermitvi I only follow 200 people so I see more of what they post.

As you can see it depends on what you are doing as to how you want to handle it. It is a lot easier to figure out than grammar. :)

I watched the videos on Twitter and did set up accounts for both Twitter and Tweetlater, but I don't have the widget on my site yet mainly because I need to spend some time understanding the process. Some questions I have are:

Do I set up Twitter as public or private?
If I set it up as public, does that mean that I will have tons of people following me and is this what I want?
What are the benefits, if any, of setting up Twitter as private?

Mark did a great job at explaining all of this on the videos but it is not clear in my head yet.

About Twitter Invader...

I gave it a try and like what I saw. It can generate lots of traffic and also serve as a marketing tool.

If we set it up offering a free ebook or special report for just visiting a site for a product that we sell, it can generate some sales. This can also work promoting affiliate programs.

So, yes I do think this plugin can make me some money. Based on this, yes I would be willing to pay for the plugin as long as the price is not prohibited.

Hi Denise,

I just really started paying attention Twitter. I guess I am a late comer to the show but it is Social Marketing and I am a Hermit :)

You will probably see a post on Twitter here in a little while, right now I am swamped with getting the Blogging Beginners site done and ready to launch.

But I am picking the minds of some good people like Darren Monroe, Robert Plank and a few others.

Twitter is a important and I have to admit its one area that I have not been able to get comfortable with. maybe one of these programs you mentioned will help.

As for giving out my password, it all depends on the program. This one I probably would. Denise

I won't use it because it asks for my password.

Isn't there another way you can make sure it was tweeted?
